Harvested at our Balnarring vineyard on 27th March, 2016, this Riesling was crushed and the free run juice was transferred to stainless steel tanks for a controlled and cool fermentation at 16C through to dryness. After the usual fining, the wine was stored in stainless steel for maturation prior to bottling. The pressing juice was treated separately and was not added back to this free-run wine.
Exhibiting typical varietal Riesling characteristics of citrus, acid and fresh fruit palate, the wine should age well under the screwcap closure. Past examples of our Riesling have one numerous awards and accolades, and this example should develop along similar lines and develop a richness and complexity typical of cooler climate Riesling in Australia.
